I always imagined this simple melody to be on the piano, it’s almost a lullaby. We were having some heavy showers so I opened the studio doors and played it a few times then over dubbed it with the dulcitone. The sound of well recorded rain in good headphones is just…so nice. The textures at the end were created by having the mics on whilst the track was playing in the speakers and then overdriving that slightly room tinged recording.
